New Faculty Resources
Whether you attended the Fall 2025 New Faculty orientation, are part of our Flight Path Faculty team, or joined Pirate Nation after orientation, we are glad you are at ECU! Check out some resources below and be sure to reach out to the Office for Faculty Excellence if you have any questions!
POSO Overview and ECU Benefits
Be sure to connect with the right people to complete all POSO onboarding paperwork. You’ll want to be sure to complete your I-9, payroll, and benefits information as soon as possible.
Every new employee will receive a request from HireRight to complete Section 1 of the I-9 by their first date of employment. Section 2 of the I-9 will need to be completed within three business days of their first date of employment. The new employee can complete Section 2 of the I-9 in person by presenting their actual documents to POSO Building 127 located at 210 E. First Street Greenville, NC 27858. Walk-ins are welcome. We are open Monday through Friday from 8am – 5pm. Another option to complete Section 2 is for the individual to let us know they would like to schedule a virtual I-9 appointment. Appointments for I-9 verification can be scheduled online. If additional assistance is needed, contact Katrina Smith at 252-328-9995 or smithkatr22@ecu.edu.
ECU benefits programs, plans, enrollment procedures, retirement systems and comprehensive leave procedure details can all be found on the Benefits at ECU webpage. You can also view the orientation presentation shared during the Fall New Faculty Orientation.
