Golden Opportunities

Cornerstone

Cornerstone is a hub for training and professional development for ECU faculty and staff. From live workshops to self-paced modules, you will find a library of required and optional training. Cornerstone provides an easy way to track what you have completed.

Be sure to ask your department chair or director about any specific trainings required by your unit.

Faculty180

Faculty180 is ECU’s platform for tracking and reporting faculty activities, including teaching, research, service, and other professional achievements. The information you enter helps support annual evaluations as well as reappointment, promotion, advancement and tenure reviews.

Once your employment begins, you will be able to login to Faculty180 using your PirateID and passphrase. While you’ll receive an introduction to the system during Day 2 of New Faculty Orientation, you can familiarize yourself with the platform ahead of time by watching the Introduction to Faculty180 Activity Reporting Video or by registering for upcoming training sessions.

Green Zone

ECU military cadets

Green Zone training helps faculty and staff better understand the experiences of student veterans and military-connected students, as well as the resources available to support their success at ECU. Participants learn about the unique opportunities and challenges these students may encounter and how to connect them with campus services when needed.

Faculty and staff who complete the training may display a Green Zone emblem on their office door and syllabi, helping student veterans identify supportive and informed members of the ECU community.

Offered through the Military & Veterans Resource Center, Green Zone training is available through department workshops or individual sessions. Faculty can request a department-wide workshop using the contact form or register for an upcoming session through Cornerstone.

Scholars@ECU

Scholars@ECU is ECU’s public faculty profile website and is populated using information that is populated in Faculty180. Professional activities such as publications, grants, presentations, awards, and service can all be showcased through your Scholars@ECU profile, helping highlight your expertise for colleagues, students, collaborators, and the broader community.

You will receive an introduction to both Faculty180 and Scholars@ECU during New Faculty Orientation. Throughout the year, OFE will offer additional Faculty180 and Scholars@ECU training sessions and resources to help you make the most of these platforms as you build your professional profile.
