NFO 2024 – New Faculty Checkpoint – Parking Permits and ECU Alerts

Parking Permits

It’s time to secure your ECU parking permit. You can find parking information by going to PiratePort and selecting “Parking and Transportation.” New employees are eligible to purchase a B1 permit or Garage Access. If you would like a permit for an A1 lot, you must join the waitlist. On average, it takes a few years to receive an A1 permit after joining the waitlist, so we recommend signing up early! ECU uses a Plate to Permit system, so you will not receive a physical parking permit.

ECU Alerts

Stay up to date with critical news and important updates in the ECU community by signing up for ECU Alerts. By registering, you can choose to receive official communication regarding emergency procedures and hazardous weather alerts on your cell phone and computer.

Additionally, you can download the LiveSafe App on your cell phone for a direct connection to the ECU Police. The App allows you to share information with the ECU police via text messaging, pictures, videos, audio, and live chat features.

Below, Captain Chris Sutton, Field Operations Captain for the ECU Police, explains LiveSafe and demonstrates its functions.
