Uptown is a wonderful place to grab lunch, listen to music on the weekends, browse through the Umbrella Market during the summer, or prepare for ECU football games with Freeboot Friday.

Town Common

“The Town Common features 21 acres of open greenspace located adjacent to the Uptown Greenville District. The Town Common is connected to the South Greenville Greenway by paved walk-ways, the Town Creek Bridge, and a 1500-foot river walk along the Tar River. Feeding into the Pamlico Sound, this peaceful river provides opportunities for fishing, boating, and kayaking. The river also serves as a beautiful backdrop for the Greenville Toyota Amphitheatre, where the community comes together to relax and enjoy live music during the Sunday in the Park Summer Concert Series, Greenville Grooves Music Festival, PirateFest, and many other annual events.” Town Common also features an inclusive playground.
